Ethical Farming
Nothing new at Thogarihunkal Estate
At Thogarihunkal Estate, ethical farming isn’t a trendy new approach-it’s been our ancestral farming method since day one. Our coffee's rich flavor is a reflection of our deep-rooted commitment to ecological diversity.
Our plantations are a living mosaic of life. We mix coffee cultivation with a variety of plants and trees, from pepper vines and cloves to wild figs. It’s a vibrant, balanced system that’s as natural as it gets.
Think of our estate as a sanctuary. You might spot a Green Pigeon or a Siberian Crane flitting about, or even a rare Bee Eater or Paradise Flycatcher. Our irrigation sources also double as watering holes for leopards, wild boars, and other nocturnal visitors.
We cherish this symbiotic relationship with nature. When birds and animals that come to enjoy our crops, we don’t try to keep them out. Their presence is a testament to the thriving, balanced ecosystem we’ve cultivated.
At Thogarihunkal, ethical farming is just farming, the way we’ve always known it—it’s a celebration of nature’s wonders and the harmonious coexistence we strive to maintain.
